The Socialism that Does/Does Not Exist
The latest McCain/Palin attack during these final days before the election has been to label Barack Obama as a “socialist” as if that were really a negative, right? Well, apparently most Americans think that “socialism” is bad but then again most Americans have no clue what the heck “socialism” is.
From the “spreading the wealth” to “socialist like” attacks that McCain uses against Obama … I cannot believe John McCain and the Republicans are able to dupe some people by these false assertions.
You see we have implemented “socialism” into some of our government institutions. The way we manage our military, education or mail is socialist in foundation. It does not seem like people are up in arms and revolting due to these government entities.
John McCain believes in “spreading the wealth” from middle class America to the wealthiest Americans. When John McCain advocates that we should keep the Bush tax cuts that for the wealthy that means that the middle class will not get those tax cuts. It is that simple!
McCain even claimed, “I voted against the [Bush] tax cuts because of the disproportional amount that went to the wealthiest Americans.”
During the Republican Primary, Mitt Romney stated, “He voted against the Bush tax cuts — twice. That's failing Reagan 101.”
A man that decided on two separate occasions that the Bush tax cuts were wrong has now committed the biggest flip-flop in American history by vowing to renew those tax cuts.
The tax cuts that benefit the “wealthiest Americans” and those are not my words, those are John “the Maverick” McCain’s own words.
The only socialism that John McCain wants to see applied is the one that benefits the wealthiest Americans. Bailing out Wall Street was “spreading the wealth” from the middle class to the upper class who had mismanaged their assets. John McCain was okay with it.
When our national debt is in the trillions and we are fighting two wars how do you expect John McCain to cut taxes without negatively impacting the American economy? He wants to cut taxes for the wealthy first and the rest of America last.
John McCain is a continuation of the Bush policies … if you do not believe it now then how the heck do you justify the fact that he wants to keep the “Bush” tax cuts. I repeat “Bush” tax cuts. If that is not a continuation of the Bush failed economic policies, then I do not know what is.
